Q1: What should I bring to class?
A: Please bring a valid photo ID, a notebook and pen, and clothing appropriate for the range portion of training (closed-toe shoes are required; avoid low-cut shirts or clothing that may interfere with safe firearm handling).
Q2: Do you offer firearm rentals?
A: Yes. Rental handguns with ammunition included are available for an additional fee, typically approximately $25. This is a great option for students who do not yet own a firearm or who would like to become familiar with different firearm options before making a purchase.
Q3: Where are classes held?
A: Classes are typically held in the Raleigh–Durham area and include both classroom instruction and a live-fire range qualification component.

Q4: Is this class beginner-friendly?
A: Absolutely. Our training is designed for all experience levels, including first-time firearm owners and experienced shooters.
We focus on building a strong foundation through step-by-step instruction covering firearm safety, handling, fundamentals, and responsible ownership.
Q5: Will completing this class qualify me for a North Carolina Concealed Carry Permit?
A: Yes. Our North Carolina Concealed Carry Certification course satisfies the required training requirements for applying for a North Carolina Concealed Carry Permit, including classroom instruction and range qualification.
Students are responsible for completing any additional application steps required by their county Sheriff’s Office after completing the course.
Q6: How long is the class?
A: The North Carolina Concealed Carry Certification course is an 8-hour course, plus range qualification time.
Students should plan for a full day of instruction and are expected to arrive on time and remain present for all required portions of training.
Scheduled breaks will be provided throughout the day. Students are expected to return promptly at the designated return time provided by the instructor so the class can remain on schedule.
Q7: What happens after I register?
A: After registration, you will receive a confirmation email containing important class details, including the date, time, location information, what to bring, and additional preparation instructions.
Additional reminders and follow-up communication may be provided as the class date approaches.
Q8: What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
A: Because class seating is limited, each registration reserves a specific seat in a scheduled training session.
Requests to reschedule must be submitted at least 7 calendar days before the scheduled class date. Approved rescheduling requests may be granted as a one-time courtesy transfer to a future class of equivalent content, based on availability and instructor approval.
Rescheduling requests made less than 7 calendar days before class, missed classes, no-shows, and scheduling conflicts are not guaranteed approval and may result in forfeiture of registration.
Exceptions may be considered for serious illness, emergencies, or other unusual circumstances and will be reviewed individually at the discretion of Good Guys with Guns, LLC. Documentation may be requested.

Q9: What happens if I arrive late or miss part of the class?
A: This is a state-required 8-hour course, and students must complete all required instruction.
Students are expected to arrive on time and remain present for all required portions of training. Students arriving more than 15 minutes late may not be permitted to participate, and final participation decisions are made at the discretion of the instructor.
Failure to attend a scheduled class without prior notification will be considered a no-show and may result in forfeiture of registration.
Q10: Do I need prior firearm experience?
A: No. Prior firearm experience is not required. Our course is designed to provide a safe, structured learning environment for individuals with varying levels of experience.
Q11: Do I need to own a firearm before taking the class?
A: No. You do not need to own a firearm before attending. Rental options are available, and many students complete training before purchasing their first firearm.
Q12: What if I have a medical issue or emergency before class?
A: We understand that unexpected situations can occur. If an illness, emergency, or other unusual circumstance affects your ability to attend, please contact Good Guys with Guns, LLC as soon as possible.
Each situation will be reviewed individually, and exceptions may be considered at the discretion of Good Guys with Guns, LLC. Documentation may be requested when appropriate.
